Doris Fujioka McConnell was elected to the City Council in 2007, 2011 and 2015 and as Deputy Mayor in 2019. She is now running to retain her seat.
I’m Doris Fujioka McConnell, or just Doris. I am running to retain my seat on the Shoreline City Council.
I have been serving the people of Shoreline since 1996 when I started on the Shoreline PTA Council. I was honored to be elected to the Shoreline City Council in 2008. Since then, I have built hundreds of close, personal and professional relationships throughout King County and the United States. It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life and I am ready to serve the people of Shoreline for four more years.
With my business experience, I know what the entrepreneurs need in order to succeed. As a treasurer and Vice-President of Ways and Means for numerous PTA organizations, I know how to plan a budget and raise the funds to enact new programs. As your Deputy Mayor, I have put in the long hours to protect our homes, parks, and public facilities.
I have the experience to make sure that our Shoreline still feels like the Shoreline we all fell in love with even as we accommodate the future that we face. You, the voter, have put your faith in me three times. I believe I have earned a fourth. Let’s win this together.
