  • Serves on the Regional Water Quality Committee

  • Serves on the Domestic Violence Initiative and Seashore Transportation Forum

  • National League of Cities Human Development Committee

  • Serves on the APAMO (Asian Pacific American Municipal Officials) board

  • 2009 Women in Power: Politics and Government Award

As a leader in the community:

  • Syre PTA President where she increased the revenue of the Walk-A-Thon by 30%

  • Vice President of Ways and Means for Syre PTA

  • Einstein PTA President and Treasurer

  • Helped to create the “Back to School” event which has become an annual affair

  • Shoreline PTA Secretary, Treasurer and Parent Liaison

  • Chaired the Shoreline School District’s Teen Gift Drive

  • Worked with Hopelink and Shoreline YMCA to secure $17,000 in donations.

  • Appointed to Shoreline School District Advisory Committees

  • Submitted the King County Sports Facilities Grant which procured $18,000 for a new school playground
